The Makeup Show is a pro artist-driven show usually held in downtown L.A. once a year. It’s a great opportunity to shop the latest beauty products at pro discounts and if you’re not shy, a great place to rub elbows with celebrity makeup artists like Billy B., Lady Gaga’s lead makeup artist, who has also graced such faces as Sharon Stone and Cindy Crawford, among many other leading ladies.
Dapper Day at Disneyland Spring 2013
Dapper Day at Disney parks brings people together to celebrate the tradition of “stepping out in style” and is a day to visit one of the parks dressed in elegant clothing from vintage -inspired to contemporary fashions. Created in Spring of 2011, Dapper Day was inspired by original Disney park illustrations which often featured well dressed guests. It is currently celebrated at The Disney Resorts in LA, Orlando, and Paris. This was my 1st Dapper Day and I decided to do a vlog to share the experience with everyone, so please watch my fun video at the end of this post!

Disneyland With a Mermaid, a Princess and a Mouse
Disneyland has always been one of my favorite places to hang out since I was a kid growing up in Southern California! I love being in a timeless magical world where everyone can be free to dress up and have fun at any age! One of my most recent trips to Disneyland was with my good friends Charis Lincoln from CharismaStarTV on YouTube and Traci Hines, everyone’s favorite mermaid, singer/ entertainer whom I’ve shared many Belle Candy Adventures with and blogged about several times. On this visit, we filmed a Disney Fashion Series episode for CharismaStarTV, featuring Ariel “The Little Mermaid” & Princess Jasmine from “Aladdin”. You can watch the awesome video at the end of this post.

My IMATS LA 2012 Weekend
IMATS (International Make-up Artist Trade Show) is the largest make-up show in the world and is held once a year in Los Angeles, New York, London, Vancouver, B.C, Sydney and Toronto. Thousands of makeup artists, vendors and makeup enthusiasts gather to shop the latest products and hear celebrity artists speak and demonstrate their craft with live models. I always have such a great time seeing friends in the makeup biz and meeting new people! IMATS has rolled around again (way earlier than usually scheduled) and I did not get a chance to post about the last show from June 2012 yet! I had so much fun and have tons of pictures to share from the entire weekend! So be prepared for a big glitterific picture post!

Lil Rae Cakes 2 Year Anniversary Party
Lil Rae Cakes, founded by the fun-loving and wildly creative baker Jenny Rae
(pictured above with me) recently celebrated 2 years in the Cake Ball business and to mark this special occasion, Jenny threw a fun anniversary party at Sweet Harts Bakery in Sherman Oaks, CA where her famous cake balls are sold. The party had an entertaining Pee Wee Herman theme which included a photo booth, costume contest and special appearance by singer/ entertainer and my favorite mermaid, Traci Hines! But the star of the night was most definitely the AMAZINGLY delicious Cake Balls that Jenny Rae made in a vast assortment of mouth-watering flavors and colors!

A Belle Candy Christmas
The Christmas season is my favorite time of year to decorate! Sparkling lights, colorful decorations, sweet treats and candylicious gingerbread houses fill my home during the holidays! I didn’t have time to do a video tour, but I wanted to share a little bit of what a Belle Candy Christmas looks like at my house with some photos of my tree and my candyland Christmas village, as well as some of the gifts I received! The theme for my Belle Candy Christmas tree and village was sweet confections of course!

The Art of Fluff
Just this year, I discovered Fluff, a sassy, vintage-inspired line of apparel & accessories that is bursting with so many of the styles that influence me, including Classic Pinup, Burlesque, Mid-Century Modernism and Japanese Kawaii cuteness! Fluff was created by Los Angeles based artist Claudette Barjoud, who started out by designing product packages for such brands as Frederick’s of Hollywood and has since then, started her own line of ultra cute accessories, many of which I now own! I really wanted to share her artwork with the world since I adore it so much, so I invite you to immerse yourself in the glamorous world of Fluff! Please watch my video at the end of this post. ♥

Cherries n’ Ruby’s
I love 50′s Diners.. Sparkly vinyl seats, jukeboxes, classic cars and waitresses on roller skates! Ruby’s Diner is one of several restaurant chains that is reminiscent of good ol’ fashioned American nostalgia. At Ruby’s, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time a few decades and the Drive-In locations really do have roller-skating waitresses!
My most recent trip to Ruby’s Diner inspired me to do an Outfit of the Day post
to share my cherry-themed goodies and where to find them!
